About

I came to architecture after an earlier career as an elementary school teacher. I began at a small Connecticut firm, working directly with the principal architect while earning my Master of Architecture degree, then moved to San Francisco to complete the program on campus.

As a Registered Architect, I am most engaged at the point where design intent meets code, existing conditions, consultant input, budget, and construction realities. I find the work of resolving those competing demands, while maintaining a clear design direction from concept through construction, especially rewarding.
