This project was developed with education in mind. Through visible sustainable design and discovery opportunities for the public, the SOMA Natural Resource Think Tank and Education Center, a think tank for the development of building systems based on renewable resources, harnesses the power of architecture to evoke and provoke change. The goal driving this design is to involve and engage the public through a visual representation of the technology of sustainable design and make the function of the building visible and thus accessible to the public. Multiple points of entry connect the site to its surrounding context and encourage circulation through the grounds. The architecture embraces the Net Zero goals for 2030 and communicates these intentions to the public.
